First Aid & CPR Malaysia
In Malaysia, elderly-care centres and home-based elderly care look after vulnerable adults and seniors who may face a sudden medical emergency. Operators and families are expected to have carers trained in first aid and CPR who can act immediately.
Elderly-care centres regulated under the Care Centre Act 1993 (Akta Pusat Jagaan 1993), plus home-based elderly care where SKM-3 is not legally required.
For care centres, SKM-3 (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia Level 3) in elderly care is mandatory under the Care Centre Act 1993. For home-based care where SKM-3 is not legally required, standalone CPR and first-aid certificates become the expected credentials, letting carers respond in an emergency while help arrives.
A recognised, up-to-date first-aid and CPR certificate is the way to meet this expectation; it supports the worker's care training and must be renewed periodically, typically every 2 years.
我们严格遵循 ILCOR(International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation)的建议,该国际机构负责对全球复苏标准进行科学评估与制定。
